4 Easy Access Small Site

About this Campsite

Wong Shek Campsite is a convenient spot for a quick getaway, with easy access by bus, car, and ferry, but be aware that it's situated on a small hill with limited open space. The campsite has its strengths, such as great views of Long Harbour, clean facilities, and BBQ sites, but it also comes with some drawbacks like noise from traffic and other campers, especially at night. Overall, it's a great spot for those looking for a simple camping experience, but be prepared for a compact layout and potential crowds on weekends.

Introduction

Wong Shek Campsite is conveniently situated on a slope opposite Wong Shek Bus Terminal. Visitors can overlook Ko Lau Wan, Tap Mun, Long Hill and coastal features of Long Harbour (Tai Tan Hoi). During holidays, the Long Harbour is dotted with colourful sailing boats with backdrops of blue sky and water. One can fish at the Wong Shek Pier while appreciating the scenery of a little fishing port opposite the pier. At night, the moon rises slowly in the north-east and a clear sky brings out a panoramic view of stars hardly found in the hustle-and-bustle city life.
